The Additional Collector – III, South Goa District, Shri. Prashant P. Shirodkar unfurled the national flag at the District Level function held today, at Kranti Maidan, Ponda and also greeted the people on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day.  

Underlining the importance of the day Shri. Shirodkar said this day holds immense importance in the history of our country. Taking this day as an inspiration we should work towards making our country ‘sujalam’ and ‘sufalam’.

Shri. Shirodkar who was present as the Chief Guest of the function also laid the wreath on the Martyrs memorial and inspected the Guard of honour parade.

Deputy Collector & SDO of Ponda taluka, Shri. Pradeep S. Naik, Dy Superintendent of Police Shri. C. L. Patil, Colonel Nagender Nagai 6TTR , Joint Magistrate, BDO, Police Personnel and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. 

Teachers of Government High school of Sadar, Ponda presented patriotic song on the occasion. Shri Girish Velengkar, compered the function.
