The Aam Aadmi Party candidates Adv. Prasad Shahapurkar, Parshuram Sonurlekar, Mario Cordeiro, Manoj Ghadi Amonkar, Cecille Rodrigues, Uday Salkar and Sunil Loran filed their nominations for the assembly elections from Mandrem, Mormugao, Saligao, Sankhali, Taleigao, Thivim and Vasco respectively on Friday.

While addressing the media AAP Mandrem candidate Prasad Shahapurkar said, “The BJP government has sidelined work on the primary health centre, which was the main demand of the locals and has also delayed the completion of the Tuem ESDM park, which could have created at least 1,000 jobs. The primary health center would be given priority if AAP is elected to power”.

AAP Mormugao candidate Parshuram Sonurlekar said, “In six years, the AAP government of Delhi has transformed the city. The government focused on human development and has done incredible work in the education and health sectors.I will work on finding solutions to the unemployment issue in my constituency and will introduce a Delhi-model in Goa”.

AAP Saligao candidate Mario Cordeiro said, “Saligao has been constant power cuts. If AAP voted to power, it will give up to 300 units of free electricity in the state while ensuring 24×7 constant power supply. All old power bills will be waived off and farmers will get free electricity”.

AAP Sankhali Manoj Ghadi Amonkar said, “We have learnt from our door-to-door visits that people in Goa are fed up with the Congress and BJP and need a change. AAP is the only viable alternative they have at the moment. AAP is the only party that can transform the state with its honest politics and provide a corruption-free environment”.

AAP Taleigao candidate Cecille Rodrigues said, “Taleigao needs a primary health centre. There is a water problem that stems from the unplanned development of the constituency. The sewage plant has been pending for 10 years now. The fourth problem is the farming fields, both inland farmers and  fishermen need to be heard on their problems and encouraged back. This problem has persisted for 25 years now. If AAP elected to power we will resolve the issues”.

AAP Thivim candidate Uday Salkar said, “There have been water supply and electricity issues in the area. Some of the roads are in bad condition. Some areas have garbage problems. Yet, these issues never saw the light. Thivim MLA turned to the ruling party for the sake of development, but he hasn’t done anything for the constituency”.

AAP Vasco candidate Ad. Sunil Loran said, “The central and state governments have indulged in corruption in all major projects in the name of development. It has also done injustice to the youth by not accommodating the local educated youth in a big project. Today the educated youth from Goa are going abroad for employment as there are no jobs available here. The only objective of the BJP is to achieve its own development, hence the increase in unemployment in Goa.”
