The Aam Aadmi Party candidates Captain Venzy Viegas and Cruz Silva filed their nominations for the assembly elections from Benaulim and Velim respectively on Thursday.
AAP Benaulim candidate Captain Venzy Viegas has recently launched a phone number to solicit suggestions from the Benaulim business community and seafarers for developing a manifesto for the Benaulim constituency and predicts this time Benaulim voters will choose AAP.
Viegas said, “Many Benaulim people lost their incomes during Covid and no government help was available. Only AAP distributed rations and helped the needy during medical emergencies”.
“As of now, AAP is the only party that has discussed basic amenities, manifestos for the business community, and for seafarers. Churchill Alemao has broken the trust of his voters by joining the new party. Therefore, it’s time to bid adieu to the new don of Benaulim”, he added.
AAP Velim candidate Cruz Silva said, “From jobs to medical services, everything happens under the influence of MLAs. BJP and Congress have been working for self-development. There is a dire need for corruption-free governance and only AAP can provide that”.
“Our vision is to make smart villages. We will work to preserve our village waterbodies and culture. Many youngsters are leaving Goa for good career options and we will make sure that they get everything here so that they don’t have to leave their native place,” he added
