Aam Aadmi Party senior vice president Satyavijay Naik, AAP leader Joel Fernandes, AAP leader Gorakhnath Kelkar and AAP St Andre Assembly Incharge Namdev Mashelkar held a door-to-door campaign in Valpoi, Cortalim, Cumbarjua and St. Andre respectively.
AAP senior vice president Satyavijay Naik said, “Valpoi people have been saying that they don’t want BJP and Congress anymore. They haven’t done anything for the villagers and only worked for their self-development. After looking at all these years, the villagers are looking forward to AAP’s guarantees”.
“People have been reading about the transformation that Delhites have been experiencing. They are impressed by the work that is done by the Kejriwal government in the education sector. Therefore, people are hopeful that Goa will also transform like Delhi, under AAP”, Naik further said.
AAP leader Joel Fernandes said “Cortalim people could not find jobs despite having an industrial estate in Cortalim constituency. Due to this, many youth are forced to go to places like Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore and other cities outside Goa in search of jobs. The large scale unemployment in the state will come to an end once AAP comes to power in the state”.
AAP leader Gorakhnath Kelkar of Cumbarjua said, “for the past 10-20 years the MLA who was earlier MGP candidate then Congress and now joined BJP has been ruling here and only worked for his own development. On the other hand AAP national convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal promised five guarantees to the Goans. He promised 24×7 electricity, jobs per house, free pilgrimage, corporation for Taxi operators and monthly allowance of 1000 rupees to every 18 years above women. I urge people to vote for AAP to see a change in the state”.
St. Andre Assembly in-charge Namdev Mashelkar said, “During the last elections, the sitting MLA betrayed the trust of the people by switching over sides from the Congress to the BJP. Even though today he is in the ruling party, no development has happened. In St Andre, the rate of unemployment is high”.
He further said, “Most of the residents who are taxikars have lost their livelihood and have received zero support from the government during the pandemic. The youth of St Andre are very dejected as the MLA here has not cared about their employment. Money power is the only way one can get government employment. AAP will ensure that there will be no distinction and will provide equal opportunities to all Goenkars”.
