  3. AMONKAR RAISES OBJECTION OVER TRANSFER ORDER TO HIS CONSTITUENTS

Mormugao MLA, Sankalp Amonkar raised objection over the sudden transfer of Government staff of residents from his constituency. After giving a political colour to clashes between two familes on Holi, political power is being misused to issue transfer orders of Government officials and issue stop work notice to people building houses in Mormugao. He said that the orders had been issued even before the Government was sworn in.

Questioning the method of transferring people, he said that people who have various family issues have been sent far way. Elaborating, he pointed out, “In the electricity department, most transfers are from Mormugao. They have started to target Mormugao. People suffering from paralytic attacks, another boy who has to look after his father with cancer have been transferred.”

He named the people involved and said that the Government, along with the Chief Minister are involved. He asked the CM to pay closer attention.

With regards to the stop work order issued by the Municipal council against 25 families in Sada, he asked why the homes that are being built now are being issued orders, when there have been homes built in the past. “Inside there is selective targeting. When we inquire on the complainant, the person is non-existent. All these are false complaints, he said.
