Directorate of Art and Culture, in association with West Zone cultural Centre, Udaipur, Kala Academy – Goa and other Government agencies will be organizing annual National Folk Festival “Lokotsav 2023”, from January 30, to February 08, 2023, at Darya Sangam, Kala Academy Complex Panaji.

Around 500 performing artists from different states of India will participate in the festival and present folk dances and folk music of their respective states. More than 600 craft persons and traditional food vendors from various states of India and from alongwith Goa will be putting up their stalls to showcase and sell their Handicrafts, Handlooms, Traditional Jewellery Items and Packed food etc. during the festival period.

In this regard, applications are invited in prescribed forms from interested Goan crafts persons and Self Help Groups having the handicraft artist card/license and producing the Handicraft, Handlooms, Traditional Jewellery etc. for putting up their stalls for the Lokotsav festival.

Applications are also invited from the Goan Self Help Group, Agencies and Individuals who are having food licenses for putting up the Packed/stapled food items such as Traditional Goan/Indian Recipes, Goan Traditional Snacks etc. during the festival.

The Registration charges for handicraft and packed stalls will be Rs. 6000/- each for ten days. The stalls of handicrafts and packed food will be on a sharing basis and the charges will be shared accordingly. The same has to be paid at the time of allotment of stalls by way of debit card or UPI only. The application forms will be sold at Rs. 10/- It is mandatory to carry Artisan Card issued by competent authority to avail the application form for the Handicraft stall and also the packed food stall.

Limited numbers of application forms will be available at the Directorate of Art and Culture, Sanskruti Bhavan, Patto Panaji from January 17, till January 18, 2023 on “First Come First Serve” basis from 10.00 am to 05.00 pm. The duly filled forms shall have to be submitted to the department strictly on or before January 21, 2023. Late applications will not be entertained. These application forms are only for Goan handicraft, packed stall vendors. Application from other states will not be entertained. Only one form will be issued to each vendor.\
