CM INAUGURATES ST. CRUZ POLICE OUTPOST
The Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant called upon the critics of the Government for everything to be also generous enough to praise the Government for its good things. The Government’s initiative to create the requisite infrastructure for the health sector to tackle the Pandemic situation in the state on war footing are some of the acts of Government that deserve appreciation, he maintained.
Dr. Sawant was speaking after inaugurating newly constructed ground plus one floor building for St.Cruz Police Out Post at St.Cruz organized by the Police Department today. The function coincided with the birthday of MLA, Shri Antonio Fernandes. Chief Minister wished him and appreciated his endeavour to serve people inspite of having threat of Covid Pandemic.
Dr. Sawant said the Government has put in great efforts to manage the critical situation of Covid Pandemic, including loss of human lives. The Government has initiated quick and prompt actions for installing Oxygen plants at different hospitals to cater to the need of oxygen. Further the prompt action by the Police to nab the culprit of stealing a one month child at GMC by a lady is another one which should be acknowledged and appreciated. He said the Government is very much concerned about the health sector, maintaining law and order to provide crime free atmosphere for the people, he added.
MLA Shri Antonio (Tony) Fernandes while speaking appreciated the Government and particularly the Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant for his wholehearted support for taking up various developmental projects worth Rs. 66 crores. He enlisted some of the developmental projects like construction of road, crematorium, water tank and the road with a stretch of 8 kms which is yet to be hot mixed. He appealed to the people to cooperate with the Police for maintaining law and order for ensuring a peaceful and crime free atmosphere.
In his welcome address Director General of Police, Shri Mukesh Kumar Meena said that the Government has initiated various steps to improve policing thereby aiming to maintain law & order in the state. The Government had on priority provided necessary infrastructure, Vehicles equipment etc. This he said culminated into raising the rate of detection of crime in the state. The perception of the general public is to have a crime free atmosphere, peaceful and smooth living and it is the bounden duty of the Police to fulfil the expectations of people and will keep up the spirit here after he reiterated.
Rev. Father Richard Pinhero expressing his happiness over providing new premises for St.Cruz Police Out Post said that people expect to have crime free and peaceful living. Therefore maintenance of proper law & order is the need of the hour and here he said Government has succeeded in fulfilling expectations of people and hereafter police personnel will render good services to the people. He also admired local MLA for his endeavour to serve the people inspite of having a critical pandemic situation.
