CM personally visits GMC Wards, meets patients, relatives
Panjim: Dr Pramod P Sawant became one of the first chief minister in the country to personally visit Covid-19 wards to meet patients and their relatives to know the actual problems faced by them.
Dr Sawant on Tuesday visited Covid wards of Goa Medical College and Hospital wearing PPE Kit to know the ground reality.
The Chief Minister has always been on the forefront to understand the problems of the people and solve them by personally taking interest.
During his visit, Dr Sawant was informed about the Oxygen supply problems faced by the patients. The Chief Minister has said that he would be setting up GMCH ward-wise mechanism to tackle this problem.
He told reporters that there enough of Oxygen and Cylinders but due to lack of mechanism, sometimes, there are problems that arise.
Dr Sawant said that all the problems related to Oxygen supply would be settled by tomorrow.
The Chief Minister has also cautioned the Private Hospitals against refusing to provide cover under DDSSY for the covid-19 patients.
He said that the strict action would be taken against such hospitals.
