
Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress, Youth Congress and workers protested against high rates of fuel and LPG at the Velim market. President Beena S Naik alleged that the Government has earned 27.50 lakh crore by looting people. She also asked about the subsidy on LPG cylinders. She said, “”They are only into looting people and we have come to protest this. Before elections, prices are reduced and then increased. They have only given promises. Where are the 3 free cylinders?”
Youth Congress leaders said they would protest across Goa in the coming days with the demand to reduce petrol price by Rs 60 per litre.President Varad Mardolkar said that it’s important to create awareness on the increase in essential commodities. He added that Parrikar had promised to keep the fuel price at Rs 60. If the Government is interested in keeping to his legacy, they should deliver on his promise.
