Goa will finally witness a debate on the merits of the Kejriwal Model! After a much changing of Goal Posts by Nilesh Cabral, he has got what he wants, Delhi’s Power Minister Satyendar Jain shall be arriving on Sunday to take him on. The topic of the power debate is ‘public money to be used to purchase MLAs or to provide free electricity’! It may be remembered that when faced with the Kejriwal Model Cabral has in the past not been able to shoot straight. His first challenge was accepted by AAP National Spokesperson Raghav Chadha, but Cabral went missing when Chadha came to debate him, only showing up after Raghav Chadha had left for Delhi. This time as well after issuing a challenge Cabral hid from Chadha behind matters of protocol and demanded to meet the Delhi Power Minister. With AAP’s Power Minister’s acceptance of Cabral’s challenges he has no more excuses to hide behind and has to come on TV to defend his failed policies.
Satyendar Jain had responded to Nilesh Cabral’s latest U turn when he refused Raghav Chadha’s acceptance of his challenge.
“Nilesh Bab, I heard u have said that u would like to debate with power minister of Delhi on AAP’s free and 24×7 electricity announcement. I accept ur challenge. I will be in Goa this Sunday. I hope Sunday 3 pm is ok with u for the debate. See you there” said AAP Power Minister Satyendar Jain.
“Nilesh Bab, you got it. Our Power Minister will be there to debate with you. Please don’t run away this time. Game on.” tweeted AAP National Spokesperson Raghav Chadha. The topic for Sunday’s debate is: Whether public money should be used to 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗠𝗟𝗔𝘀 or to provide 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆? What do Goans want? added Chadha.
The states politics have been in a tizzy since AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM announced that upon coming to power Aam Aadmi Party will give up to 300 units of free electricity in the state while ensuring 24×7 constant power supply. 87% people of Goa will get zero bills due to this policy, a version of which is already active in Delhi. Cabral will once again faces questions on why his ministry was not able to provide free 24/7 power to Goans, despite Goa being a power surplus state
