The Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship under its ambit has 10 Government ITIs and 03 Pvt. ITIs imparting  training in various Engineering and Non-Engineering Trade courses under which approximately 2542 trainees are undergoing training in total 37 trades in the State of Goa.

The Directorate has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with M/s. Sri Sri Rural Development Programme Trust (SSRDP) on April 25, 2022. Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (DSDE), Goa and SSRDP Trust have envisioned partnership for the up gradation of the ITI’s with the support of industry partnership and up skilling of trainees of the State. The program will be implemented across all ITI’s in the State starting with the up gradation of Farmagudi Government ITI-Farmagudi-Ponda in its first phase.

Shri. Dipak S. Desai, Director, signed on behalf of DSDE whereas Shri Vijay Hakay signed on behalf of SSRDP Trust.

The Directorate has already inked various Memorandums of Understanding (MoU). These includes MoU between Goa Shipyard and Vasco Government, ITI; Mou between Hyundai Motors and Panaji Government, ITI; MoU between Maruti Suzuki Motors Ltd. and Farmagudi Government, ITI; MoU with National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC); MoU with Siemens Ltd. and Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) India and MoU with Goa Institute of Management (GIM).

The objective of the partnership is to have a formal understanding between the parties for providing training for enhancing the employability of youth of Goa, mainly focusing on employability and entrepreneurship training in the industry-oriented job roles.
