Rajesh Faldessai, Cumbarjua MLA announced a slew of works for the development of his constituency. He said that pre-monsoon work on drainage, internal road repair will begin. He pointed to the traffic issue at the Old Goa, Gaundalim railway crossing. He said that he met the Chief Minister on the issue and the CM has promised to build fly over.
On the Old Goa issue he said that ‘we have started to work towards demolition on illegal construction at Old and it will be demolished soon, even m ready to go Supreme Court if required.’
He demanded that local youth be provided with jobs in the Corlim Industrial Estate that has around 102 industries. “Our main aim is local employment. I’m working hard to see that the local youth gain employment there as it will benefit the constituency. The full team is working hard to meet the people’s demand,” he said.
He strongly opposed the setting up of a garbage treatment plant in Bainguinim. “I don’t support Baiganum Garbage plant and will take to the street, if required. There are so many buildings and schools. People come to visit the world heritage site. I will convince minister all the details and then take further action,” he stated.
