Goa Govt must come clean with it’s plans to fight the third wave of Corona & protect Goan children!

Aam Aadmi Party today demanded that the Goa Govt under Pramod Sawant provide a comprehensive plan on how they are planning to fight the third wave. The party urged Pramod Sawant to take a leaf out of Arvind Kejriwal’s book as the Delhi CM has already unveiled his plans to contain the third wave with specific focus on protecting children who are expected to be especially vulnerable.
It may be noted that the Kejriwal govt has decided to set up Oxygen plants of 300 MT to deal with the second wave. A team of officers have been announced to audit healthcare infrastructure as well. Importantly the Kejriwal Govt has set up a task force to just deal with the expected impact on children. The special task force will comprise paediatricians, experts, and senior IAS officers.
“It’s time that the Sawant Sarkar declared an action plan to protect Goans, especially children from the third wave of Corona,” Said Rahul Mhambre, Aam Aadmi Party Goa Convenor.
The Swant Sarkar’s handling of the second wave came under national and international censure as Goa continues to have some of the highest positivity rates in the country. An oxygen crisis born out of mismanagement also gained the ire of the courts as people lost their lives to the shortage in the late hours of the night. Presently as well many citizens are left to fend for themselves as PHC’s are found to be unprepared for the second wave.
“Considering the disastrous handling of the second wave we need to be extra prepared for the third wave. We cannot afford to lose more Goan lives. Sawant must listen to his expert committee, action their suggestions as well as look at the good work being done by the Kejriwal Sarkar, added Mhambre.
