Goa Trinamool Congress demands that the terms and conditions of the MOU to be signed by the government of Goa and Isha Outreach on August 23rd should be made public. Goa TMC leader Trajano D’Mello asserted, ‘The association with Isha foundation is purported as a step which would help and guide sustainable agricultural system and organic farming to preserve the coastline.’
Exasperated by the repeated failure of the BJP-led government, D’Mello said, `The government which peddles the slogan of ‘Sabka Sath Sab ka Vikas’ fails to ensure “Sab ka Vishwas.” He further added, ‘The government should take people into confidence and invite their opinions and suggestions vis a vis the terms and conditions that would be in the MOU and initiate an open debate to discuss the positive and negative aspects of the said MOU.’
Slamming the Pramod Sawant-led government for its lack of transparency, D’Mello said, ‘Just like every other policy that the government brings, this MOU will also work in shadows and without accountability. Adding on, he said, ‘It is shocking that despite the state agriculture sector being involved, our agriculture minister has not been invited for the signing ceremony.’
