The Goa State will participate at the 40th edition of India International Trade Fair, a Mega event scheduled at iconic Pragati Maidan in the National Capital New Delhi from November 14 to November 27, 2021.
The Department of Information and Publicity is the Nodal Department for participation of Goa State at IITF an annual event organised by India Trade Promotion organisation (ITPO) This prestigious Trade Fair is one of the most awaited business events in South- Asia region which could not be held last year due to Covid-19 Pandemic outbreak.The fair held annually witnessed innumerable record footfalls by Delhites and from across the Country .
The theme of IITF for this year is Atma Nirbhar Bharat (Self- Reliance India) the Vision of New India. The Goa State through the Department of Information and Publicity will participate in the fair by setting up Goa pavilion and organising allied activities by incorporating the theme of Swayampurna Goa in pursuance to the theme of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Apart from DIP other five Departments such as Department of Tourism, Department of handicraft, textile and coir, Directorate of Industries Trade and Commerce, Goa Tourism Development Corporation and Goa Investment Promotional Facilities Board will participate in the fair.
The Goa pavilions will be set up on an area 60 Sqm in hall No 3f bare Space at Pragati Maidan where in the progresses and Development , Achievements , Initiatives , Social welfare Schemes of the State Government will be Showcased in right perspective. Besides the rich Culture heritage, Hospitality will be presented and efforts will be made to promote Goa as an International tourist’s destination and attract investment to boost industrial growth and Tourism activity in Goa in a big way. A brochure incorporating the achievements of the Government will be distributed to the visitors visiting the Goa Pavilions.
As in the previous years, this year too artisans from the Department of Handicraft, Textile and Coir will participate to display / sell their products during the 14 days IITF which commences from November 14, 2021 every year after it is inaugurated by the President of India.
It may be noted that due to induction of new Exhibition- Cum- convention centre ( IECC) AT Pragati Maidan , the area of IITF 2021 has been increased to 73000 Sq.mts approximately which is three times in comparison to the previous edition.
