Goa will be creating technocrats in near future : Dr. Sawant

state of Goa should see the revolution in digitalization. This is the first time all the boards have come together for a novel initiative like this. With this, many technocrats will be created in the State of Goa, Chief Minister of Goa Dr. Pramod Sawant said.
 He was speaking as the chief guest at the valedictory function of 2 weeks of pre-orientation and orientation training sessions of coding and robotics education in schools scheme. 
Director of SCERT Nagraj Honnekeri; Director of Education, Shri Dilip Bhagat, Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Dr. Vivek Kamat; Principal,  Goa College of Engineering Dr.Rajesh B. Lohani and other dignitaries were also present on the dice. Instructors, resource persons, and participants were also present for the function. 
Speaking further the CM said, Almost 50 percent of seats in engineering or technical education are vacant for the last few years. What should we do in this kind of situation? Teachers should guide children in respect to their career after 10th or 12th.  They should help in creating interest in students towards these fields. This kind of initiative is necessary, he pointed. 
Goa College of Engineering hosted this 2 weeks Master Trainers Training Program for 35 computer teachers in two sessions. For the first week, this training was held in the virtual model and in-person training was provided for the second week. Participants were taught different aspects of modern technology. These master trainers will further train another 540 teachers across Goa.
The program concluded with felicitation of instructors, resource persons and giving participation certificates to all the participants as informed by the Information and Publicity Department.
