Maharaj leading the people of the State to pay rich tribute to this great legendarywarrior of this country. The Chief Minister said when we recall Chh. Shivaji Maharaj we will rememberhis valour, an ideal king, statesmen, courage and His qualities of well characteredsacrifice, and objective of peoples welfare peoples welfare he asserted. Chief Minister said he is fortunate to be part of Government in undertakingtherenovation of Saptkoteshwar temple at Narve in Bicholim taluka and dedicatedto the people which was re- errected by Chh. Shivaji Maharaj many years back. He said not only Shivaji Fort at Ponda but the statue of Late BhausahebBandodkar along with the beautification of area around Ganesh temple wouldbeundertaken by making special
provision in the budget to enhance touristic importance of Ponda. While creating new India the Chief Minister said due care would be takenthat
Goa marches along in terms of progress and development. Those who intendtomake research on life and work of Chh. Shivaji Maharaj A special chair has beenestablished in Goa University, CM said and urged those who intend to makeresearch on life and work of Chh. Shivaji Maharaj to make good use of it. Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs said we need to imbibe upon our childrenthegreat values of bravery, determination, sacrifice, social responsibility etc. toacquire welfare and development. We also need to adopt his qualities of struggle, hard work and dedication towrds working for the people. The one who followsthe foot steps of legendary leader like Chh. Shivaji Maharaj wouldbeacknowleded by history. Chh. Shivaji Maharaj created People’s kingdompledginghis life and work towards the welfare and happiness of the people. Lets worktogether to make the achieve the dream of a welfare State of Chh. Shivaji Maharaj, he added.
