GOVT PLAYING ELECTION STUNTS BY RECRUITING APPRENTICES FROM ITIs: SUDIN
Senior MGP leader and Marcaim MLA Ramkrishna Sudin Dhavalikar have alleged that govt is using election-year stunts by recruiting IIT students under “apprenticeship” and promising to recruit them in govt services by paying a stipend of Rs 8500. If they are good they can be taken by private companies, he said. Sudin said students will be recruited for one year and then dismissed. The apprenticeship scheme is 40 years old, where IIT students were recruited by PWD, and companies were also invited to recruit them. Rs 7000 is coming from Centre and State govt is adding Rs 1500 under the old scheme and fooling the students, Sudin alleged.
Dhavalikar has also alleged that Tribal Minister Govind Gaude has pushed for a Rs 100 crore “duplicate” water project at Khandepar. He challenged the CM for a discussion on the issue and said the project is being pushed under the tribal plan. If CM does not reply within 8 days Sudin vowed to approach the court. Sudin said the water of the 10MLD plant is sought to be supplied for Savoi Verem-Vaghurme, the Kerim area. The Khandepar plant will duplicate the Ganjem Usgao 10 MLD plant which is already underway, Sudin pointed out. Also, a 25 MLD plant already supplies water to Savoi Verem-Vaghurme, Kerim areas.
