Government will honour individuals with Goa Sahakar Ratna, Goa Sahakar Bhushan and Goa Sahakar Shree awards which comprises of a cash of Rs. 1,25,000/-, Rs. 75,000/- and Rs. 50,000/- respectively. “The Goa State Best Co-operative Society” award shall be given to the best Co-operative Society of the State, two Awards by name “Goa State Consolation Award to Co-operative Societies” will be awarded to the societies who have shown commendable performance. These awards are given in the form of plaques inscribing details of the award. Besides, two individuals who are instrumental in the upliftment and overall development of the respective societies will be awarded with Cash Assistance of Rs. 50,000/- each.
The Government of Goa has constituted the Goa State Coop. Award and assistance committee under the chairmanship of Shri Prakash Velip, Chairman of the Quepem Urban Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd., which will select and recommend the individuals and co-operative societies of outstanding merits in the field of Co-operation for the years 2019-20 and 2020-21.
Application/Nominations are being called from the individuals/co-operative societies along with the details of contribution, achievement and the services rendered in the field of Co-operative Movement, for giving the awards for the years 2020-21. The application/nomination forms so prescribed for the purpose are available on the departmental website www.coopgoa.gov.in and at the office of the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Sahakar Sankul, EDC Complex, Patto, Panaji and the Zonal offices of the Asstt. Registrar of Co-operative Societies at Panaji, Mapusa, Ponda, Margao, Quepem and Bicholim which have to be submitted on or before November 8, 2021 by 5.00 p.m. through the respective zonal offices.
