The Goa Union of Journalists (GUJ) condoles the demise of senior photojournalist Kishor alias Pandurang Naik from Dongrim in Tiswadi taluka.

Kishore passed away on Thursday, following a brief illness. He was 71 and is survived by his wife, daughter and son.

Kishore Naik was a fine art graduate and a retired art teacher.

Kishore’s liking for photography and sensitivity towards the society attracted him towards journalism. He was a dedicated freelance photojournalist and highlighted various civic issues and propagated art and culture through his photographs and news reports.

He was a regular contributor to various local dailies which include Pudhari, Navaprabha, Gomantak, Tarun Bharat, Lokmat etc.

The Goa Union of Journalists conveys its sincere sympathies to the Naik family.
