I believe in the principle of #transparency, and that has been the basis of my functioning as Minister of Town and Country Planning. In order to bring more transparency, we have formed a committee of experts headed by Chairman Mr. Vinayak Bharne, Vice Chairperson Ms. Swati Salgaocar and five experts with Mr. Rajesh Naik as Member Secretary. The Committee after speaking to the stakeholders will present the overall view to the board, the board will then take a decision based on the submission of the experts.
The committee will be neutral in nature and will deal with all the stakeholders who have raised their objections and made suggestions such as various political outfits and NGOs. In order to bring more transparency, this independent body will go into detail & redraft the amendments if required and make a presentation to the board on the same. Along with the experts, the board will then decide the modalities to take it forward. We want the progress of the state but in a transparent manner and it will be an inclusive model where we will take everybody’s views, objections as well as suggestions & move ahead.
In view of the notification which we had put forth for objection and suggestions, it now stands scrapped.
The Government is here to stimulate economic growth which will benefit the state but in conformity with the people. At the same time, we must embrace progress and devise new ways of working together for a #progressive Goa.
