I SUPPORTED MANOHAR PARRIKAR IN 2017 BECAUSE I WAS PUSHED TO THE WALL: VIJAI
PANAJI: Goa Forward Party (GFP) President and MLA Vijai Sardesai on Saturday alleged that he supported Manohar Parrikar to form the government after the 2017 Assembly elections since he was pushed to the wall by the Congress Party.
He questioned how long does it take for the Congress to choose its leader and count 17 ballots. Vijai also alleged that Congress wanted to form the government by keeping Goa Forward out and breaking the MGP.
Vijai said even now he believes that a united front needs to be put up against the BJP to dethrone the corrupt government in the State. He was speaking after the admitting former Goa Government Employees Association President John Nazareth into the party in the presence of working president Kiran Kandolkar, MLA Jayesh Salgaonkar and other office-bearers.
The GFP President also disclosed that he would write to UNESCO since the Goa government was planning to extend the areas of Greater Panaji Planning and Development Authority (GPPDA) and convert the Kadamba Plateau-Old Goa-Corlim area into a State Capital Region on the line of National Capital Region and destroy the character of Goan villages.
