  3. Just two AAP MLAs are starting to change the politics of Goa: Palekar

Speaking at a celebration of the Aam Aadmi Party’s 10th Foundation Day last Sunday, State President Adv. Amit Palekar praised the performance of Velim MLA Engr Cruz Silva and Benaulim MLA Capt Venzy Viegas.

“Our two MLAs are already changing the political landscape of Goa. People have seen how they have got long-pending works done and got contentious issues resolved despite being in the opposition. People are also appreciating how they have remained strong as a voice of constructive opposition and not got sold out like Congress MLAs who backstabbed the people of Goa yet again”, Palekar said.

Engr Cruz Silva exhorted the volunteers to raise as many public issues as possible. He also motivated the volunteers to reach out and help people, offering his full support to all constituency units across Goa to ensure basic services and schemes of the Govt are not denied to anyone.

Capt Venzy Viegas stressed on an aggressive campaign to strengthen the party’s block and booth level organization structure so that the party’s success in Benaulim and Velim could be expanded to more constituencies and ensure than AAP forms the next state Government in Goa.

Others who spoke at the event included ex-Minister Mrs. Alina Saldanha, and party Vice-Presidents Adv. Surel Tilve, Sandesh Telekar-Desai, and Valmiki Naik.

Despite many volunteers being out of station to campaign in Delhi for municipal elections and in Gujarat for the assembly elections, the event held in Varca saw an enthusiastic attendance of more than 300 volunteers.
