Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today held a review meeting with the officials of the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services at the conference hall, Secretariat, Porvorim. The meeting discussed about the requirements of the department and other infrastructural projects. The Chief Minister instructed the authorities to initiate steps to fill up the vacant post in the department as early as possible.

      Shri Puneet Kumar Goel, IAS; Principal Secretary (Finance), Director of Fire and Emergency Services Shri Ashok Menon and officers from finance department were also present for the meeting.

      Matters related to expansion of the directorate of fire and Emergency services, and provisions for modern equipment were also discussed. The Directorate of fire and emergency services is providing Noc online. The Chief Minister directed the authorities to explore the possibility to make available all other facilities of the Directorate online to the general public

      The Chief Minister also reviewed the progress about departmental activities and regarding the Aapda Scheme.

      The Chief Minister informed that Cuncolim will get a full fledged fire Station.
