MELAVLI VILLAGERS PETITION DEPUTY COLLECTOR OVER DISAPPEARANCE OF NAMES

VALPOI: Villagers of Shell-Melavli have alleged that the names of 11 persons have mysteriously deleted from Form I & XIV.

According to villagers, the names were included in Form 1 and 14 in the year 1990 but were now found to have been deleted. They have submitted a memorandum to the Sattari deputy collector requesting him rectify the fault and also to find out who was the culprit behind this forgery.

The villagers declared that their opposition to the proposed IIT project at Melavli will continue even if they have to lay down their life. They also alleged that Health Minister Vishwajit Rane was pretending that he does not have interest in IIT project and have threatened to show black flags to Vishwajit whenever he visits Valpoi constituency.
