
Air Marshal A. S. Bhonsle, Member of the Union Public Service Commission inaugurated the meeting of the Standing Committee of National Conference of Chairpersons of State Public Service Commission organised by Goa Public Service Commission held at International Centre, Goa, today.
Chairman, Standing Committee of National Conference of Chairpersons & Chairman, Gujarat State Public Service Commission, Dr. Dinesh Dasa, Chairman, Goa Public Service Commission, Jose Manuel Noronha were present on the occasion.
The formal function began with the lighting of the lamp and welcome address by Chairman, Goa Public Service Commission, Shri Jose Manuel Noronha.
Addressing the gathering Air Marshal A. S. Bhonsle said, The National Conference of Chairpersons is a unique Forum where Chairpersons of all the States Commission share their experiences and deliberate on different issues faced by them. This exercise facilitates learning from each other to strengthen their system without being diluting their autonomous space.
He reminisced his working days with Former Defence Minister of the country and Chief Minister of the State of Goa late Manohar Parrikar. He also spoke on the formation and evolution of the Public State Commission.
Also present on the occasion were the members of the standing committee which included Chairman, Arunachal Pradesh State Public Service Commission, Shri. Nipo Nabam; Chairman, Bihar Public Service Commission Shri R. K. Mahajan, Retired IAS officer; Chairman, Andhra Pradesh State Public Service, Prof. P. Uday Bhsaskar; Chairman, Odisha Public Service Commission Retired IPS officer Satyajit Mohanty; Chairman, Telangana State Public Service Commission, Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy, IAS; Chairman, Uttarakhand Public Service Commission Retired Maj. Gen. Anand Singh Rawat; Chairman Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, Sanjay Srinet; Special Invitee, Former Chairman of Standing Committee Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani among other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
