 The National Human Rights Commission has opened entries for its sixth annual competition for short films on human rights after a good response to its earlier five editions. The award money has been doubled this year with prize money of Rs. 2 Lakh ; Rs. 1.50 lakhs and Rs. 1 lakh for the best first, second and Third film. Entries are invited online this year.        

The aim of the award scheme is to encourage and acknowledge cinematic and creative efforts of the Indian Citizens, irrespective of their age, towards the promotion and protection of Human Rights.

          The short films may be in any Indian language with sub- titles in English or in Hindi. Duration of the short film should not be less than 3 minutes or more than 10 minutes.

          The last date for receiving  entries is October 15, 2021. Entries have to be sent online at nhrcshortfilm@gmail.com, using the Google drive folder. A copy of the terms and conditions of the scheme and application form can be downloaded from the NHRC website: www.nhrc.nic.in
