DONT WANT TO BE PARTY TO DECISIONS WITH ULTERIOR MOTIVES, WILL REMAIN AWAY FROM BAC MEETING – DIGAMBAR KAMAT

Panaji – The irresponsible BJP Government did not bother to send till now the Agenda for the Business Advisory Committee meeting scheduled today, 3rd May 2021 at 4 pm at Speakers Conference Hall, Porvorim. What is the Hidden Agenda behind this meeting? I cannot be party to decisions with ulterior motives & will remain away from the meeting today stated Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat.

I had clearly stated on Thursday, 29th April 2021 after i recieved the notice for the said meeting that When the Health Care Facilities have completely collapsed in Goa with rising number of Covid Cases & increasing number of Deaths, Only business BJP Government needs to do on priority is to provide Free & Timely Medical Aid to Patients. All other Business can be done later stated Digambar Kamat.

I had also demanded that Goa Legislature Department must send the Agenda of the said meeting well in advance for the members to study the same and give inputs in the BAC meeting. Unfortunately, the Government did not bother to respond Digambar Kamat said.

The Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant needs to clarify why BAC meeting is convened now when the Goa Assembly Session is adjourned to resume on 19th July 2021. There is a time of almost two and half months. What is the urgency, unless there is some hidden agenda questioned Digambar Kamat.

On one side Government is trying to appeal to all MLA’s to extend co-operation in Covid handling and on the other hand BJP is trying to push its hidden agenda using constitutional forums. This is beyond imagination said Digambar Kamat.
