It is seen that public are violating Motor Vehicle Act by not wearing helmet, travelling triple seat, not wearing seat belts and whenever they see the policeman in uniform they either try to overspeed or they take other route to escape from being punished.

It is also observed that fatalities and major head injury can be prevented by wearing helmets by the riders.

To overcome such practices SDPO Mapusa Shri Jivba Dalvi has deployed policeman in plain cloths at all police station in Mapusa Sub division i.e. at Mapusa, Anjuna and Colvale police station jurisdiction and the staff are directed to click the photographs of violators of M.V. Act/Rule and submit the report to this office for forwarding the same to the Notice Branch Dy.SP, Traffic, Althinho Panaji to issue notice.
Today police have found 145 violators.

The regular booking of M.V. challan by uniform police is also continued.
