Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant asserting that the Government is fully prepared to tackle with the predicted 3 wave of Covid – 19 said Goa plans to complete the first dose of vaccination against COVID-19 in the State by July 30.

Speaking at the felicitation ceremony of Doctors, Nurses and other healthcare workers at Ravindra Bhavan Sakhalim the Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant lauded the efforts taken by Healthcare workers during the 1st and 2nd wave of Covid-19 crisis.

Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant appealing to the people to take Covid-19 vaccine informed that eight lakh people have taken their 1st dose of Covid -19 vaccine till now. Government has constituted Committees, Doctors have been trained and necessary arrangements for all equipment required to deal with Pandemic have been made, he said.

Speaking further, Dr. Sawant said Government has decided to provide priority to the Health care workers while undertaking recruitment.  The healthcare workers have put in their services round the clock and braved criticism during this pandemic, he remarked.

Director, DHS, Dr. Jose D’sa, Dr. Rajendra Borkar, ZP member, Shri Gopal Surlakar, Vice Chairman of Ravindra Bhavan Shri Vithoba Ghadi, Health Officer, CHC Dr. Uttam Desai Saroj Desai were among those who were present on the occasion. 

       ZP member, Shri Gopal Surlakar in his address appreciated the Goa Government and Chief Minister for good initiatives, effective handling and management during Pandemic and even visiting every hospital to check the facilities.
