  3. SALKAR FOR 30% RESERVATION FOR GOANS IN JOBS

Speaking about the employment of Goans at Central agencies based in Vasco, MLA Daji Salkar said that the Chief Minister will convene a joint on May 18 to discuss the issue of employment to the Goans along with Goa Shipyard Ltd. “All Central agencies in Vasco like Goa Shipyard, MPT, Airport Authority etc that are not providing jobs to locals. We had taken up this issue earlier. We had warned Goa Shipyard of an agitation if they refused to provide jobs.”
Speaking about the helplessness over local youth not getting employed, “Everyone is frustrated. Our Vasco youth are without jobs. Goa Shipyard hires even their poens from outside. All MLAs are united on this. I feel 30 percent reservation should be given to Goans in Central govt organisation in Goa,” says Salkar.

He was speaking on the sidelines of starting pre-monsoon work in Vasco. Deepak Naik, Vasco BJP Mandal, President took a potshot on the opposition for criticizing the Vasco BJP volunteers and MLA. Naik said that BJP volunteers aren’t sleeping but busy undertaking various public utility works. Those who are criticizing simply should see for themselves or else take rest for five years.

Salkar also said that already pre-monsoon work in all wards have started and the de-silting of nullah Bhutebhat has started. Considering these works there won’t be flooding during monsoon in Vasco, Daji said.
