Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar carried out a joint inspection of the dilapidated Kharewado Fishing Jetty along with former minister and Goa Boat owners association president, Jose Philip D’Souza. D’Souza said that the boat owners face extreme difficult situation at Jetty. “We briefed him about all our issues. It has been 50 years that we have a temporary fishing jetty. The place isn’t sufficient for us. Earlier the boats were small but not now since the numbers have increased. The fish remain out and get spoilt,” explained D’Souza.

Salkar assures to take up the issues with CM Dr Pramod Sawant and Fisheries minister and resolve all the issues within a short span of time.
