The Aam Aadmi Party today responded strongly to the statements made by caretaker CM Pramod Sawant in reference to the speech made by Arvind Kejriwal in the ongoing Delhi Assembly session.
“It is unfortunate that caretaker CM of Goa has got riled up over the statement made by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal that the movie Kashmir Files be made available on the YouTube platform so that it could be available for free viewing by everyone. While Sawant and his party are leaving no stone unturned to promote the movie, no attention is being paid to the plight of the Kashmiri Pandits who suffered under the miltancy in the Kashmir valley”, state Convenor Rahul Mhambre stated.
AAP leader Adv. Amit Palekar said that in the past 30 years since the incident happened, parties like BJP and Congress have only indulged in politics over the issue.
“What has BJP done to rehabilitate or relocate the Kashmiri Pandits? Arvind Kejriwal rightly exposed the BJP for suddenly putting in all efforts to promote a movie designed for commercial and political exploitation of the issue, but having no plan to to help the Kashmiri Pandits. Why is Sawant upset if Kejriwal criticised Vivek Agnihotri for refusing to donate for the welfare and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits despite raking in hundreds of crores from the movie?”, Palekar questioned.
Mhambre advised Sawant to focus on Goa and the missing Governance in the state, instead of behaving like a social media troll of the BJP.
“Arvind Kejriwal merely stated that the film be made available on YouTube so that everyone who wishes can watch it. Why has Sawant not demanded the same? Is the intent of the BJP for maximum people to watch it, or for maximum profits to be made by Vivek Agnihotri?, Mhambre charged.
