Goa is not just about the sun, sand and sea, but is also known for spiritual tourism. There are temples, churches, heritage sites which are promoted. Spiritual tourism being part of it should also be uplifted, said Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant.

 He was speaking as the chief Guest at the inaugural function of National Selected Delegates Meeting by Arya Ediga Rashtriya Mahamandali held at International Centre Goa, Dona Paula today.

Union Minister for Tourism and Ports Shri Shripad Naik; Minister for Social Welfare Karnataka, Shri. Kota Srinivas Poojari; National President, Arya Ediga Rashtriya Mahamandali, Dr. Shri. Shri. Shri. Pranavananda Swamiji; Former Minister and Arya Ediga Samaj Senior Leader Shri. Malikaiah Guttedar and other dignitaries were present on the occasion. 

The function commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp and a welcome speech by National Programme convener, Shri Sajeev Nanu.

CM, Dr. Sawant congratulating Arya Ediga Rashtriya Mahamandali for holding various activities around the country appreciated their contribution in the field of education and stated that he will provide necessary help if they want to establish a private university in Goa.

Union Minister for Tourism and Ports Shri. Shripad Naik spoke on the agenda of the National Selected Delegates Meeting. He assured them that he will put forth their idea of installation of the 108 feet high Statue of Brahmashree Narayana Guru in Karnataka in front of the Prime Minister of the Country.
