The State Steering Committee on COVID Management met at the official residence of Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant at Altinho today and discussed on the issue of Covid assessment including opening of educational institutions in the State.
The Chief Minister urged the school staff including teaching staff non teaching staff of schools to undergo the vaccination and later on decision can be taken about the students. He also stressed the need for students studying outside the State needs to be vaccinated.
The Chief Minister suggested to have a meetiing after Ganesh Chaturthi for deciding about the opening of High Schools and Higher Secondary schools.
Minister for Health, Shri Vishwajit Rane said the positivity rate among Children at the age group of 5 to 17 years is very low. Six members who were deputed on Steering committee was approved at the meeting. Curfew plan would be decided according on range of positivity, he added.

Chief Secretary, Shri Parimal Rai IAS; Secretary Health, Shri Ravi Dhavan IAS; Collector North, Shri Ajit Roy IAS; Director Department of Health Services, Dr. Jose D, Sa, Dean GMC Dr. Shivanand Bandekar, State Epidemologist, Dr, Utkarsh Betodkar, Dr. Shekhar Salkar etc. were present for the meeting.
