SUNAPARANTA GOA CENTRE FOR THE ARTS ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF RETELLINGS

PANAJI: Sunaparanta Goa Centre for the Arts, Altinho announced opening of Retellings, a group show that brings to life the landscape of Goa, presented by six contemporary artists. 

Afrah Shafiq, Asavari Gurav, Bhisaji Gadekar, Komas, Nandita Kumar and Poonam Pandit come together in this multimedia exhibition inspired by their unique experiences and interrogation of life in Goa. 
 
This exhibition showcases the ongoing research by participating artists shown through various media that include sound, video, performance, installation, sculpture and text.   
 
Their work seeks to retell and reinterpret experiences rooted in mythology, folklore, folk art, nature and the changing world around us.
 
The artists from this show are grantees of the Goa Open Arts Catalyst Grant 2020 aimed at providing ongoing support to the artistic community of Goa.
This exhibition is in partnership with Goa Open Arts and the Goethe Institut (Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai).
 
Retellings opens on Wednesday, 10 February from 10 am till 6:30 pm.
