TENSION PREVAILS AT BANDORA AS SANATAN MEMBERS TRESPASS INTO BOKADBAG AREA
PONDA: Tension prevailed at Bokadbag-Ramnathi in Bandora panchayat on Wednesday night after large number of villagers protested against the alleged trespass by Sanathan Sauntha members at Bokadbag-Ramnathi area knowing that the matter was subjudice.
The irate villagers under the banner of Bokadbag Dahajan Sangarsh Samithi took out a morcha at the Ponda police station and took strong objection to any activity by the Sanatan Sauntha or purchase of property in their area. The villagers alleged that a group of 15 members of Sanatan Saunstha allegedly trespassed into the property and threatened and abused the women on caste lines. They alleged that Local MLA was supporting the Sanatan members and they would report this matter to the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant.
The villagers were satisfied after the Sanatan Saunstha members gave in writing to the police stating they will not enter the area till the time the matter was settled by the court.
