Aam Aadmi Party leader Advocate Amit Palekar attacked CM Pramod Sawant on Friday, for not halting the recruitment in the health sector. He claimed that CM Sawant is afraid of HM Vishwajeet Rane, therefore has not set up an inquiry committee to investigate the matter. Palekar demanded to dismiss the Health Minister from the position.
Palekar who launched a hotline to report bribery during AAP’s Mahasabha held at Navelim stated that the AAP has received thousands of calls on the bribery matter and received haul of videos as well.
Earlier Palekar had exposed the BJP’s major job scam in the health, PWD, IPHB and Food and Drugs department. He had alleged that no process has been followed during recruitment and that people have been appointed before appointment letters are issued. He had also claimed that 95 per cent of the jobs were given to people from Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s Sakhali constituency and Health Minister Vishwajit Rane’s Valpoi constituency.
Faced with criticism over allegations of a scam in the recruitment of junior engineer in the PWD, the state government on Friday kept on hold the recruitment process and set up a three member inquiry committee to probe the matter.
Reacting to this Palekar said, “There has been a big scam going on in the health sector compared to the PWD sector. However. CM Sawant only hold the recruitment process in the PWD sector. This is because CM Sawant is scared of Rane; that’s why he couldn’t able to stop the recruitment in the health sector. It is because his own party’s MLA had raised the issue”.
He further said, “Recently, a video went viral where the people have been seen writing the exams, like they are seating at the fish market. When there were already 5000 candidates for one post, 7000 seat number was drawn. The government had held examinations at different times on the same day for the same post. This is not fraud, then what is? If there is no fact in this, then Rane should come before the people and should give an explanation”.
“After all these scams, there is no doubt that the BJP government will fall this year. AAP has made all preparations to send those involved in job scam to jail. Appropriate action will be taken depending on the proofs received by the AAP. The BJP government has no humanity left. If they were a little ashamed, the government should have dismissed the post of health minister”, he added.
