Goa, 05 September 2021: Today the two day National Executive meeting of Indian Youth Congress began in Goa. The National Executive meeting under the leadership of the National In-charge of Indian Youth Congress and AICC Jt-Secretary Shri Krishna Allavaru ji and National President Shri Srinivas BV ji started today, on this occasion all the National Office Bearers and State Presidents of Youth Congress from every corner of the country, were present.

Before the meeting, National In-charge of Youth Congress Shri Krishna Allavaru ji and National President Shri Srinivas BV ji first did the flag hosting of national flag, then today on the occasion of Teacher’s Day, paid floral tributes to Bharat Ratna former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan ji. All the state presidents and all thr National office bearers also paid floral tributes. After this, before the beginning of the meeting, Shri Krishna Allavaru ji and Shri Srinivas BV ji paid tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi ji by paying floral tributes to him.

On this occasion, former Union Minister and present Rajya Sabha MP Shri P. Chidambaram ji, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Shri Girish Chodankar ji, Former Goa CM and Leader of Opposition Shri. Digambar Kamat, GPCC Congress Working President Shri. Aleixo Sequira duly started the national executive meeting by lighting the lamp along with Shri Krishna ji and Shri Srinivas ji. Former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Shri P. Chidambaram ji called upon the Youth Congress national office bearers and state presidents from all over the country to play an important role in the election going states, making them aware of the reality of the current burning issues of the country. In his address, he emphasized on rising unemployment and the National Monetization Pipeline, and said that the National Monetization Pipeline scheme of the Central Government is daylight robbery. “Whatever has been created by the governments of the country in the last 70 years is being given in the hands of a select few. People should be aware of this menace and oppose it.” He also said that there was no consultation on this policy. There was no debate in Parliament. The government would never allow discussion on the issue.

Goa Congress State President Shri Girish Chodankar ji, while addressing the national executive meeting, appreciated the service work done by the Youth Congress in Lockdown, and also discussed about the Vidhan Sabha elections to be held in the coming days in the state. On this occasion the former Chief Minister of Goa Shri Digambar Kamat ji also came to the meeting and while addressing the National Executive, he mentioned the important role of Youth Congress in Goa elections. In the meeting, on the topic of national security and defense, Shri Praveen Sawhney ji also gave his address to all the Youth Congress colleagues.

Today, in the meeting of the National Executive, suggestions were given by the office bearers of the Youth Congress, and the State President to run a nationwide movement on the issue of youth unemployment, inflation, farmers, and also discussions was done for the coming days regarding the assembly elections in the states. During this, there was also a discussion regarding the internal elections of the Indian Youth Congress.

National In-charge of Indian Youth Congress Shri Krishna Allavaru ji and National President Shri Srinivas BV ji also addressed the national office bearers and state presidents during the national executive.

Indian Youth Congress National Media In-charge Rahul Rao said that the second day’s meeting of the two-day National Executive will be held tomorrow, in which many other topics will be discussed.
