Based on the complaint of the Goa Pradesh Youth about the bad condition of the Canacona to Margao road, PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral carried out an inspection of the same. He said that since the original contractor refused to do the work, he asked for a short re-tender of the same. “Trying to see how we can blacklist old Contractor and will make sure that old connector won’t apply for new tender. I will examine that all such contractors don’t do this, he said.
Visibly irritate over the repeated questioning on the petrol hike, the Minister shot back at questions asking, “Why are you after the petrol hike? Why blame the Government? State Govt has given a subsidy on electric vehicles. Let it go to Rs 200, what’s the problem? If you want to change, go and buy electric vehicles. You save the environment also,” Cabral added.
