National Book Trust (NBT), New Delhi is organising a live workshop to translate children’s books from English to Konkani. 20 books will be translated by 10 translators during the workshop.
The workshop will be held from 11 to 13th April 2022 at International Centre, Goa at Donapaula.
The workshop will be inaugurated by Shri. Damodar Mauzo, renowned writer and Dyanpeeth Award winner.
Principal Arun Sakhardande, President, Goa Konkani academy Dr Bhushan Bhave convener Konkani advisory board Sahitya akadami New Delhi, Shri Ravi Mishra, scientist and trilingual Coordinator, National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research, Goa will be present as Guests of honour.
La Col Yuvraj Singh, Director, NBT will also be present for all three days.
All translators and language lovers are appealed to attend the inaugural function of the workshop on 11 April at 10:30 am.
